How to cite publications on Westlaw AU
Cite online publications as for any other document type following the templates below, add the root url with underline and date the document was viewed. Ideally cite the paragraph number you wish to quote. Westlaw AU allows researchers to search by para number in the advanced search template for legislation and commentary works – go to the Commentary Heading/Number search field

For Legislation and Commentary Products the i button on Westlaw AU will provide the product's title and author's details. Where there are multiple authors on a work – you can just cite the first or none if the list is too long. If you are drawing material from a product with many authors and we specify those authors on the relevant online page, please cite referring to the most recent update author in the Author block on the online page eg from Lawyers Practice Manual NSW
