FirstPoint update: Industrial Law Classification improved scheme

The FirstPoint on Westlaw AU Industrial law title has been reviewed and improved with a number of new classifications added to make finding the right case easier. 

Fair Work Commission

New classifications are available under the Fair Work Commission heading:

  • Reasonable Apprehension of Bias
  • Procedure

For appeals to the Full bench:

  • Standing to Appeal

Modern Awards

When dealing with modern awards, the 4 Yearly Review range has been removed with all variation of modern awards particular cases falling under a new range Particular Cases. Within this range two new classifications are available:

  • Flexible Working Arrangements
  • Casual Employees

Workplace Rights and Responsibilities

When dealing with procedure you can now find:

  • Extension of Time

Workers Bullied at Work has now become a range with 3 new classifications of:

  • Standing
  • Unreasonable Behaviour
  • Other Matters

 

Compliance and Enforcement

The Compliance and Enforcement range has a new classification of

  • Accessorial liability

Changes to Current Classifications

In addition to 10 new classifications to the Industrial law title in FirstPoint there are 9 changes to the names of existing classifications:

  • Powers
  • Government Sector Employment Act 2013 (NSW) and its Predecessors
  • South Australian Employment Court and its Predecessors
  • South Australian Employment Tribunal and its Predecessors
  • Referral to tribunal and other matters
  • Procedural and Evidentiary Matters Relating to Court and Tribunal
  • Appeals to South Australian Employment Court and its Predecessors
  • Appeals to South Australian Employment Tribunal and its Predecessors
  • Right of Appeal for Internal Review
