On 16 February 2023, the Australian Attorney-General's Department released the highly anticipated Privacy Act Review Report (PARR), the next step in the Australian Government's comprehensive review of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (Privacy Act Review). The PARR makes 116 proposals for significant reform to Australia's privacy regulatory framework. The consultation is open for submissions until 31 March 2023.
